WebNov 22, 2016 · The usual answer is that the 2L is a quicker revving engine, which compared to a stock B234 it is but if you're forging the bottom end then a forged 2.3 will rev faster than a stock B204 simply due to the pistons and rods weighing a good 2kg less (my B235 lost 1.8kg when forged and that's significantly lighter than a B204 to begin with).
