From what I've read, the flat based bullets will actually give better penetration inside 300 yards anyway, just due to the distribution of their mass.

There is little differance in in accuracy between the standard BT and the rebated BT, Flat base bullets shoot very well at long range but the BT shoots a bit better the flat base drift a tad more.
